I absolutely adored the charming and cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The décor had a lovely traditional feel, which made me feel right at home. The general areas were spacious and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate around, even as a senior. The accessibility for senior people was impressive, with wide hallways and handrails in the right places, ensuring my safety and comfort.
I would have appreciated a little more assistance from the children working there. Being a senior, a bit more support and guidance would have been beneficial to make my vacation even better.

We had a fantastic stay at Whitby House Retreat Sleeps 12. the house was perfect for our large group, with a spacious living room that provided plenty of comfortable seating. the kitchen was well-equipped and even had a dishwasher, although we didn't realize it until later. the house had a homely feel and the outdoor stone staircase connecting the two apartments gave it a unique touch. We especially enjoyed the secure garden for our dogs and the gorgeous sun trap at the back. We will definitely be recommending this property to our family and friends. Cons: Nothing, all was good! 👍.

I wish there were more activities or amenities specifically designed for senior guests.

great size house, more than enough room for 12 people. Early check-in allowed, excellent communication. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and hope to return. Loved the light and space, homely feel. Beautiful suntrap garden. Locals were welcoming. Ideal location for visiting Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.
No garden light on outside stairs.
